Culture Inquiry
Earlier this term we found out how our families came to live in New Zealand. Some of us arrived recently and others came to New Zealand over 100 hundred years ago. We had to focus on one person and find out how they traveled, why they left their own country, what their journey was like and how they felt when they arrived in New Zealand.
To present our inquiries we either made a passport, designed a poster or created a key note. All of us had to share these with the class. It was very interesting to hear the different stories, especially those who had made the journey themselves.
We have a display of some of these presentations in our visual bay. You are welcome to come and have a look.

Book Week Activity Time
Our Family Group, and the children in Room 12, made collage book characters from card and old magazines. Everyone had a lot of fun and they turned out very well.
