Buddy Class

Our Buddy Class is Room 6 and every Friday we meet to share some of our learning. We also complete some interesting tasks together.



Last week we helped our buddies sort living and non-living things and this week some of us got to work on Kid-Pix. We began creating pictures and words showing how we can be good friends with each other.



We are looking forward to sharing these with you all when they are finished.

Sunny Bee

Last week at Singing Assembly Room 19 were so well behaved and sang so beautifully that we get to look after Sunny Bee for a couple of weeks. Well done everyone :-)

Hexagons!!

This morning Mrs O'Hanlon visited our classroom to show us a beehive. Mr Barnes had found it and had to destroy the hive.




We are studying geometry in mathematics and were interested to see that the cells in a beehive are shaped like hexagons. We also learned that the cells tesselate when combining to make the hive.

New Year

2011 has begun well and we are busy establishing routines and new friendships. Everyone in the class has settled into the Middle Syndicate quickly. We were very lucky to have Kelly Sports visit and we all had heaps of fun.
