BO SEOK AND RYAN'S SAFETY BRIDGE.

Our picture will help you when you walk to school because it shows you how to be safe when you cross the road.

For reading this term my group had to make a poster for the art exhibition that is happening at our school! I liked this activity because it was fun to draw and it was an advertising poster. We were learning about advertisements in our reading group.

In 100 years What will bridges look like?
1. You can go up and down with an elevator.
2. You can go underneath the water.
3. There are 3 lanes.

Abbey's coolest comic life

This week I have been working on my comic life page. I have put some of my pictures from this year - what I have done, and one of my whole class and my buddy class. I also have a picture of my day out at the Young Leaders Conference.
Thank you for viewing our blog

Room15 and Room 10 Assembly

Earlier in the year Room 10 and Room 15 hosted a school assembly. We all worked hard putting this together and were very lucky to have an unexpected visitor join us and talk about the benefits of walking to school.
Over the year we have met with our buddy class most weeks and have had a lot of fun doing things with our little buddies. We look forward to spending lots more time with them in Term 4.

Technology Week

Technology Week Rotation
Last week on Friday 15th August the whole school went to three different classrooms, including our own classroom.

In the first activity, in our classroom, we completed a cliff challenge. What we had to do was draw a cliff and six people had to get up and down at the same time to get to a beach-without using electricity. I thought of a lift, one to go down and one to go up using a pulley.

After this we did an egg mania challenge and this one was my favorite. What we had to do was take twenty straws and one long piece of sellotape. What you then had to do was take one raw egg and make a cover with the sellotape and the straws. Because we only had a certain amount of time we had to rush.

Finally we had the last activity which was making a newspaper tower. We had four pieces of newspaper and one long piece of sellotape. We didn’t win this one but that doesn’t matter as we had lots of fun.

I felt happy that we went to different classrooms and the activity I liked most was the egg mania because after we had made the cover for the eggs, the student teacher in Room 13 dropped the eggs and all of Room 10’s cracked, apart from one.

At the end of that day I was exhausted!

Music

During the year we have been lucky to have Mr Ramsay taking our class for music. This term we only have two music sessions and we work very hard and fast. In our first lesson we learnt to play the cords of, and sing a new song. We added parts and have recorded it to share with you all.

Glenfield College Robots Visit Sunnybrae.

Last Wednesday a group from Glenfield College visited and showed us their robots. They had been building them for about a year and the two largest robots had been entered in a competition. They didn't win but they were awesome and everyone at school loved hearing about them and watching how they worked.

Term Two

Room 10 had a very busy Term One and at the very end of the term we finally set up our class blog. We hope to add regular comments, news and happenings for all of you to view this term.
During the first term we met regularly with our buddy class and presented an assembly. We will put together a slide show for you to view and have posted a couple of pictures here as well.
Our Assembly focused on some of the events we had taken part in during the first term including: The Triathalon; Swimming Sports; Cultural Day and Travel Wise. On the day of our assembly we had a visit from Max - he wants to help us travel safely to school and wants to encourage walking!
